Does an Autel Evo gimbal need software for repair?

So I need to replace the gimbal on my Autel Evo II Pro. I'm wondering if there's software or any problems that will be assocciated with doing so. I know that with the Mavic Air 2, there is software involved so gimbal replacement isn't easy. So my question is, if I buy a new gimbal and put it on the drone, will it work?

Given how easily you can swap between the 6K, 8K and Thermal cameras I'm not sure there is anything else you need to do?

Nothing special needed when installing a new camera. Would just recommend you have the latest firmware when running the Dual or 640T thermal payloads.
