Camera hot

I tried to fly my drone today for a commercial job and had a problem that I have had before but a little patience usually pays off and the issue resolves itself. My drone did not want to acknowledge the memory card. Usually I can play around, remove and re-attach the gimble, disconnect everything and restart it, sometimes a few times, but then it works. Today I was not as lucky, it just was not going to find that memory card. I even tried changing the card out. I got home and began looking over things, trying multiple times to disconnect, re-connect, etc when I noticed that the camera was very hot to the point that I almost could not touch it. I immediately turned the drone off and it cooled down. I then turned it back on and immediately, the camera got hot again. I turned the drone off and removed the battery. The battery is not hot at all but the camera itself is extremely hot. Anyone had similar issues?
