I am still having binding problems. I turn the app on first then the controller then the aircraft. Before I updated to the latest IOS I never had a problem. Now it is a hit or miss. One time I turn everything on and I get a video signal the next time nothing. The last flight I did I unplugged the usb and plugged it back in and it fired up. Is there something I am overlooking? Once I get everything lite up it flies fine and good video feed. It is just a nuisance trying to figure out the sequence I need to go through. I have emailed Autel but thought I would try here also. Any suggestions?

I gave up on Apple. Went Android and haven't looked back since. I can startup in any order it seems, the result is always the same. That being said, I had app connection issues recently. Turned out cleaning the gimble contacts with a soft eraser and then alcohol wipe did the trick.

I doubt if the cleaning of the gimbal contacts would help in this case. Bonding an aircraft can be done, even when nothing (no camera) is attached at all to the gimbal.
(Dirty gimbal contacts could have caused app connection issues though as it would affect the throughput of video data - between the controller and the aircraft.)

I guess I had better rephrase I can bind controller and aircraft I can't launch the app so I can see the video on screen. I have good connection and the controller shows good video signal. The app doesn't fire up.

"The app doesn't fire up" - you mean holding your iPhone in your hand, Starlink won't start at all?

If that's the case, it's likely your phone out of memory or something like that.

If Starlink starts but won't connect to the XSP, we are back in "cleaning the gimble terriroty" and/or changing the cable.

Speaking of cables, CS suggested using a Category 3 USB cable. I looked up the difference between 2 and 3. Sure enough, a cat 3 cable is designed for data transfer and a cat 2 us used for charging. So I went to Best Buy and asked for a cat 3 cable. They looked at me like a "deer in the headlights".I "go to the freezer and get the box" kind of tech guy.

Can someone sort out the cable confusion for me? Or have I just caused everyone to scramble through all their cables wondering? None of my cables are labeled in any way.

Only the very cheap Chinese cables would be charging cables only. A lot of small electronic gadgets come with the wall mounted chargers and probable come with just charging leads. All smart phones\tablets come with charging\data cables these days. Some are better than others. Anker PowerLine Micro-USB cables are rated pretty high on the list and are not to expensive.

I stopped binding with the App, it’s always been hit/miss for me since day one. The method using just the RC & aircraft is very reliable for me!

Here is what I have to do. I turn on the controller then the aircraft and they bind. Then start the app then and only then plug in the usb works every time now. Before I updated the IOS It did everything automatically now I have to do a different dance step. I don't remember who told me to do it this way but thanks.
Thanks for the help
