hello everyone
i am new to this form and just would like to know how many people have had problems with batteries going dead. have had my drone for about 8 months and have gone through 4 batteries and have only about 5 to 10 charges on them.

I've seen many postings about dead batteries after about 17 charges; 5-10 is crazy. Definitely get a hold of support!

i have gotten in touch with support and they have been great in replacing them, just asking to try and find out if this is a on going problem with other people. trying to figure out if my charger or something is trashing them. at this point i can't trust this thing battery dies in mid flight and emergency lands. could be very dangers so far no accidents.

Ah. I'm glad they are taking care of you; they should probably send you a new charger to see if that's the problem.

As for me, I'm getting 2 replacement batteries; 1 had 19 charges, the other 28.

I have 2 other batteries with 15 and 18 charges and they are perfectly fine.

So, yeah...batteries are an issue; just never seen them go bad as soon as yours have!

yes support has been great, just seems replacing 100$ batteries can't be good there has to be some sort of problem, at this rate they could give out free drones then charge for batteries.lol

LOL
What people don't understand the average Lipo smart battery for DJI and Autel costs about 5-6 bucks to make. They are not losing very much by replacing them. They are gaining loyal customers for a cheap price.
I have had three replaced since last Feb. Getting ready to to get another one returned soon.
DJI also has the same problems but they don't replace batteries like Autel.

Does the indicator light on the charger turn red if the batteries are dead? I’m having trouble with my batteries but was sure which was broken between the charger or batteries.

I have 5 batteries. I've had 2 replaced under warranty. Then,,,, ironically,,,, one of the replacements they sent me was defective and had to be replaced. I haven't had any issues with Autel in these exchanges.

I've changed my habits a bit, but can't confirm that it's helped. I'll let you know in another few months. I NEVER recharge a battery fresh out of the Drone when it's "warm". I let them cool, then recharge. It's the only thing I could think of that I was doing that might contribute to battery failure. We'll see. :)

Have you ever had the indicator light on your charger red? I’m assuming that is bad. 1 battery has a red light the other is green but neither will charge.

When I first hook everything up it might be red for a couple seconds, then goes to green. On the bad battery they sent me the green light would light on the charger box, but the green light on the charger part that plugs to the battery would never light. I even left it plugged onto the battery overnight hoping it would wake up, but it didn't. If you pushed the go button on the battery no green lights would come on. I assume the battery is "completely" dead and the charger can't get it started.

These are cold. I bought the drone used but under the impression it was only flown once and by the looks of it it seems to be true other than the batteries. I’ve never had it off the ground due to dead batteries.

My battery will act like it's charging but will only go 3 lights that are green than stop.If you look at the battery on Starlink it will say 100% but they cores are different readings if you try and fly it it will run out fast and go to emergency landing. I only get about five to ten charges per battery before this happens.

Sounds like one of your cells is weak. Can you post a screen capture of the battery status from the App?

You might ask support to replace your charger...
