Are the gimbals/cameras Interchangeable between versions?

Yes they are, cameras are fully interchangeable and compatible across all V1 and V2 systems.

Is the 640T exactly the same as the 640 with the exception of the IR sensor being a clone of FLIR's sensor?

Image output itself, yes very similar (some will say identical) when comparing the 640T to the regular FLIR Boson 640. When comparing the 640T to the FLIR Boson 640 R, the "R" is FLIR Radiometric and therefore comparable with FLIR Tools/Studio. The 640T images only work with Autel's IRPC tool for radiometric processing, whereas the 640 R works with FLIR Tools/Studio.

Do you have any opinion on the comparison of Autel's tool vs FLIR. Obviously, FLIR is the elephant. I have no experience with thermal, but am curious if compatibility with FLIR's tool is worth the $$. The made in China aspect is a red herring for my purpose. Thx.
