No, it was quite simple surprisingly. Once back cover removed, a few ribbon cables going to the control stick and about 4-6 screws and it's off. Easier to blow out. Have you removed the Antennas at any point? Check if the Antenna connectors are not damaged in any way. You could also try to re connect the controller to the drone.
