My son purchased the Maxx type extender for his DJI and is limited to about 3 miles because of his battery. Drone returns on its own when battery is about half spent. We fly in Utah. I've had that same problem. I'm not totally sure but I think while turning the drone in a circular rotation the camera has to be looking at the ground. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I bought the leg extenders that snap on. I really like them but I've noticed that after you take them off and on several times they become loose and slide up. Luckily I noticed them being a bit loose before I made a crash landing. I'm going to start putting a bread tie or something around them...
