    How Hot ?

I've not gotten the allusive 38 minutes others have said, but I do regularly get about 33-34 out of a full charge. If I take them up way into the rocks (11,500 to about 13,000 ft) you can tell it's working harder and I often find those times will drop to about 25-28 minutes.

    How Hot ?

I fly here in Colorado, with temps right around 100 pretty often. Very dry though. I've flown my Autel Evo II Pro 6k many times, one battery after another with no issues. I'm not sure on max speed, but I've used it as a higher elevated chase camera to get shots of a car racing down a drag...

    Flipping

Yeah, I fly my Autel when I want smooth, cinematic flights. I fly my DJI FPV when I want to crash into things (like the ground)

Autel Repairs - seriously their major flaw

Yeah, that's the issue. Having said that, pretty much all drone companies that aren't "Build your own kits" seem to be pulling this same game. In theory DJI has some parts available for their FPV, but I've talked to the local DJI Store, and their parts are basically on back-order. Having...

Autel Repairs - seriously their major flaw

Yep, basically *all* repairs have to go through their repair center. No matter how insignificant. This basically means you have to pay about $60+ for shipping each time, and they get to charge you an 'hourly service charge' (which they decide how long it takes) unless they deem it was faulty...

Ready to fly, fly away in Iowa-y.

Having moved to Denver from Cedar Rapids, I'd say one of the things I miss from there is the way the landscape greens up in the spring. We definitely have the view here in Colorado, but I miss the colors!

Autel Repairs - seriously their major flaw

I want to provide an update on this post. Autel did get the drone back to me about 3 weeks later, and in their description they said they did find an issue with the drone so covered the repairs under warranty (though what that issue was, I don't know). A better outcome than the first time (3...

autel evo 2 repair pleas hellp

Don't bother. your only option is to call them, get an RMA, and send it to them, and wait for them to get around to it. HORRIBLE service/support process. Speaking from 2x experience

Autel Repairs - seriously their major flaw

Yeah, their policy cost me about $130 last time (including shipping) to repair a $6 part, and this exact same issue will likely cost me another $130. This, entirely on it's own, has taken me from someone who was very happy with their Autel Evo II and converted me into someone who will tell...

Autel Repairs - seriously their major flaw

Side note: Both time it cost me almost $60 to ship them the drone... For a $6 replacement piece and if I remember $60 an hour for labor.

Autel Repairs - seriously their major flaw

Update: Was never called back by them, but did receive an email from them 2 days later with instructions to send it in. No comment on time expectations. Guess we'll see. I think from this point forward I'll be relegated to using the Autel for shots at altitude where I need the 6k, and I'll...

Autel Repairs - seriously their major flaw

Sorry, let me clarify... Back when I had the issue with the DJI Phantom 2 it was DJI that said it's have to send it to China... hence my wanting to find a non-DJI drone and selecting the Autel Evo II. The issue here is that they (Autel) are simply doing business like a 'small shop' and not...

Autel Repairs - seriously their major flaw

So, I specifically chose Autel because 'way back when' (DJI Phantom 2 release era) I had a huge issue with DJI's support - their 'required firmware update' bricked my $2000+ new drone a few weeks into having it - and their support at the time said effectively "too bad, send it back to China, but...

Skyreat ND Filters - 8k vs 6k different?

I watched a review and it recommended the Skyreat ND filters for the Evo II Pro (6k). I tried to find them on Amazon, and it says they're sold out but says there's a set for the 8k. They look different, so I'm curious, are they threaded differently, or would they work across the 2 camera modules?

Best EXP Setting for a smooth flight.

Yeah, I've been burned by DJI's tech support in the past to the point that they totally bricked my $2000 drone, then told me "too bad, you'll have to send it back to China, set up a pool of money for them to work on it, and if they decide they need more $ you can either pay it or they won't send...
