There are still major US retailers selling EVO I packages. Autel makes a decent product at an attractive price point, especially the hobbyist, but their customer support and business practices fail to inspire consumer dedication.

I wonder how Autel would react if a person took the initiative to reverse engineer the drone and started producing replacement parts. At the very least I would think they could license production to another company. Its a lose lose for all involved

That was my thinking for the longest time but given all of Autel's issues combined with the fact Autel updates include geofencing capability a hacked DJi is looking a lot more enticing!

If it's still available lll take it. The gimbals on these drones are so fragile. I drifted into a spruce tree after the last firmware update and that finally put it out of it's misery. I never thought I'd say this but I'd buy a DJI before I'd spend $500-600 on a new camera for my Autel.
