Comparison between the XSP and EVO

As a Part 107 pilot who cannot fly beyond LOS anyway, or at night, or in clouds, etc., it would be a waste of money to buy the Evo, as cool as it looks, when I can do just about all I need with my X-Star. A thousand bucks...not worth it to me. It may be to others.

EVO may come in 3 flavors

Perhaps Autel will adapt the concept of modular design, meaning we could simply add the different camera later, that it tempted us with with the X-Star. Or, Autel could still fulfill the promise of creating camera modules for the X-Star. It could do both.

DJI CAN KEEP IT! NOT INTERESTED!

Wow! I thought this was an Autel forum...come to find out it is more about promoting DJI products, as if DJI needed the help. Looks like I cannot get away from DJI no matter where I turn...I must get DJI...must get DJI...must get DJI...must get DJI...repeat after me... Just kidding! Must...

EVO From A X Star Premium / DJI Mavic Owners Perspective

I am glad you are satisfied with your complete package. Everyone has one's preference. Spending a couple thousand bucks or more for a bit more potential at this point makes no sense in my life and my services. The drone world is in its infancy stage changing every day. The H520 too will be made...

EVO From A X Star Premium / DJI Mavic Owners Perspective

My X-Star is professional enough. I do not want to spend more money, a lot of which would be necessary for the 520. The Evo looks fun but if I can keep doing what I do with my X-Star I am happy.

Will YOU be buying the Autel EVO?

The Pumpkin does everything I need it to, so right now, the Evo is just the new cute girl on the block, a little younger with a more fun personality, but I don't want to ask her out yet.

    So help me out here!

Kroorda, I enjoyed reading your positive words about Autel. I personally will not buy DJI...just something about a company that wants no competition that turns me off, despite some here who continually like to show preference to DJI, which seems odd because I would feel weird bashing DJI on...

EVO From A X Star Premium / DJI Mavic Owners Perspective

Pros and cons, great...whatever...some company needs to compete with a monopolistic DJI, which did not invent flight, drones, multirotors, remote flying, etc.

    "Jerk" Flying Outside Authorized Envelope

We have all seen it and read it...drone pilots flying into and over clouds, flying as far as possible way beyond visual line of sight, flying high as possible, flying at night, etc., which might make for great videos but all no-no's without authorization, the possibilities of such commonly even...

Meet the EVO!!! Autel's new bird!!

No one can see that far with naked eye. Those who fly that far jeopardize having the rest of our's all taken away: WATCH: Private drones cause increasing concern on Capitol Hill Please do not fly beyond the VLOS until it is authorized.

    Best Video Editor?

That's a good description of doing video editing. I have Pinnacle Studio and I like it but I use Corel Video Studio a bit more. Also, I use Movavi and VSDC as each program seems to cover something the others miss.

Meet the EVO!!! Autel's new bird!!

It's amusing to see the resurgence of new hope in Autel now! I am saving my bucks for the Evo, and by the time it comes out I will be ready. Best thing is, it's not a DJI product. I've never been disappointed at least from my personal point of view, by the X-Star. It's given me what I wanted...

    What we gonna do?

Why did we buy the X-Star in the first place?...because partly anyway it was not from DJI. Plus, the X-Star gave us pretty high comparable quality at a very competitive price. Drones, despite the dominance of DJI, are still experiencing competition between brands, so new ones are available all...

What’s the highest elevation you can launch from?

The FAA last time I studied this stuff, says you can fly at any altitude if your craft is less than 400 feet or less from a structure, which in this case could be the side of a mountain. So if you took off from a mountain top just to go horizontal, you could legally fly up and down it within the...
