PPK surveys? (Emlid Studio + Pix4DMapper) What about the "omega, phi, kappa" orientations?

I don't know exactly how the parameters are used by processing software. But, I think that their use increases the ability of the software to properly determine the position of the camera when it took the image. And therefore, helps the software to arrive at a good camera calibration to apply to...

PPK surveys? (Emlid Studio + Pix4DMapper) What about the "omega, phi, kappa" orientations?

Emlid Studio is a work in progress and is not yet the best tool for PPK drone work. Pick up a copy of RedToolbox. It is more mature, and is designed for drone use.

Should I have gotten a Max vs 640Tv3?

I've kept our v.2 ent. rtk because it does work, and it is a hedge against DJI's geofencing. It's been a couple of years, but I have been bitten by DJI's geofence database that incorrectly had a private airport near a project. Autel has been such a disappointment. They had the correct pieces...

Should I have gotten a Max vs 640Tv3?

Autel has abandoned support in short order for every craft they have manufactured all the way up to the Dragon fish. Autel will probably be around for years. But the hope that they would be a meaningful alternative to DJI has been decimated by Autel leadership. Too bad.

    RTK not ready

No problem. And, the process was called "binding" before DJI was a company!! 🤔

    RTK not ready

Just a FYI, It's called "binding" the controller to the aircraft. This was done long before the bluetooth or wifi protocols existed. :) It's not a big deal, but may as well use the correct terminology, right!

    KML file

Unfortunately, the RS+ is a single frequency transceiver a the Evo RTK uses a dual freq. They are not compatible. You need a dual freq. gnss like the RS2+. The Evo receives RTK corrections over NTRIP. The RS2+ can act as a base and send corrections to the Evo over NTRIP when all of the...

Scored a 640R on eBay, this a whole new world unlocked!

I don't think the Boson version 640 was radiometric. According to the Flir site, the Boson sensor itself won't be radiometric until the 4th quarter, 2023 at the earliest.

Scored a 640R on eBay, this a whole new world unlocked!

$1100 for the camera is a good deal. However, there are a bunch of brand-new kits that include the craft, multiple batteries, and the camera in the $4k and under range. Before Autel fell ( I mean, threw themselves  ) on their sword, the 640T camera was $5700 by itself.

They used to. Autel kind of killed their own market. That doesn't minimize the fact that if you are happy, then it's a great value! Nothing wrong with the T either. You have to use a workaround if you want to use Flir tools, but the image quality itself is even a little better than the R.

    PPK in Emlid Studio

My v.2 ent. outputs 2 files for PPK: 101FTASK_Rinex.obs 101FTASK_Timestamp.mrk The .obs file contains raw gnss logging in rinex format and the .mrk file is the camera positions in gps time. There is no navigation file. But, the navigation file from the base, either CORS or local, is all you...

    RTK not ready

In your screenshots, you are not using NTRIP corrections by virtue of the "SINGLE" condition. You may as well turn RTK to the off position and take off as normal. You need a "FIX" condition for RTK to operate. Scroll down just below what you posted and you will see the condition of the...

Seriously Impressive Drone - Underwater + Aerial

Consumer underwater drones are fairly well established. They do not fly in the air and they are tethered. So are very expensive commercial grade underwater drones. Note, they generallty call them rovers, not drones. But they are controlled the same as airborne drones. Check out the Chasing...

EVO II and a TOPCON Base

The Evo 2 will receive gnss corrections from NTRIP only. If your receivers can output via NTRIP then you will likely be able to use them. Check-out this similar question. https://autelpilots.com/threads/autel-robotics-evo-ii-pro-rtk-v3-connecting-to-topcon-trimble-and-ntrip.11151/
