MarcoPolo is great. Long range and does not need cell signal or gps or any outside help. It can walk you right to it from up to 3 miles away depending on the terrain.

Tile is only good up close and with a cell phone, unless you are in an urban area with lots of other Tile users. MarcoPolo is a stand alone, no cell or bluetooth needed and can be found up to 3 miles away. Out in the wilderness Tile would not help much.

Mine were all gone so I re-synced them and all came back. I do sync after every flight. I still get flights with wild and crazy gps stuff (I am pretty sure I didn't fly to Africa again yesterday). I wonder if that has to do with putting it in airplane mode? The GPS was still on and 17...

I flew at below zero regularly last year, as low as 18 below and many just as close. I just wear a good coat, hat and a fleece neck gaiter I pull up over my face (cold air gives me a toothache) and some touch screen gloves. Keeping the body warm keeps the extremities warm. 53 winters in Alaska...

I wrote the post about my props icing. It was perfect conditions for it, humid, fog almost to the ground and the temperature. I just never thought about it. It certainly made me choose to not fly this fall when conditions were similar. As far as just cold, no issues. I have flown at 18 below...

My Evo I charger that came with the replacement makes a buzzing noise and hits 135 f when charging. Not happy with that. And the controller that came with it has the horrible fan that screeches. Suspect they gave me a refurb unit that wasn't tested well. The drone seems OK, but that charger.....

Yep, MarcoPolo. Don't need a cell signal, 3 miles or so line of sight. It walks you right to it. If you remember to turn it on before you fly. Mine is mounted with self stick velcro on the Evo and on the clip that holds the tracker. I just pop it out of the clip when I put it in the case...

On my Evo 1 I have it on self stick velcro, I have the waterproof dog collar model. I have the velcro on the top and on the plastic bracket that comes with the MarcoPolo. Then I can just pop it out of the bracket to charge. Has survived 4 crashes with my first defective Evo and stayed on. And...

I had a similar issue on one phone, but found it was caused by the phones fonts being set too large and everything on the app would not display properly in the phones screen and would not respond to taps. That was last year, but changing the fonts/display zoom back to normal fixed it for me.

Still waiting. No hurry.

Any address or further info?

Maybe that wobble is good, it might help keep it out of ring vortex state when descending too fast?
