Using "recording" mission.

Is it possible to use the recording mission to record video, as opposed to shooting still photos? I've tried, but it only seems to work for taking still photos. Maybe I need to update firmware?

i think i understand your question and i've never used it because it didn't work for me either. makes no sense to fly a mission and never get the right video recorded. so i just use the standard record button while amounts to start-recording at the beginning of the mission and end-recording when the mission is completed and i land.

Not sure if you have figured this out, but I had just come across this video and found it quite impressive.
