F.Y.I. I have been using high quality usb cables from remote to tablet for some time, USBFIREWIRE.COM offers thick, gold plated usb cables that are angled as well as a variety of short lengths to accommodate almost any configuration needed to make a complete connection while also looking very nice without having excess cable hanging down. This is the only company i have found through exhaustive research to find a high quality cable with angled ends & lengths that work well with quadcopter remote controllers. :)

I've been using a cheap (under $4 from eBay) McDodo double right-angled 21" iPhone charging cable without any issues.

I have a question on cable connections. The cables that came with the controller to go to a tablet or phone fit in the same port that charges the controller so I have been using that when I fly. I have used the larger USB port on the controller, to the right of that, to go to the phone also. It there a preferred port to use?

Good question, i have always used the larger USB A port, the other one is a micro USB port, i wonder if the micro port would work?

You can use either port. I prefer using the larger port as it feels to me like a more secure connection, ie. less likely to fall out or be knocked out.

Good to know, i agree with you on the security of the larger port, just tried both of them & the bigger one feels secure, thanks

I have always used the micro port since it was the size cable they provided. It works fine, just didn't know if there was a preferred method.
