I've flown my evo a few times now. It does fly really well and the video looks pretty good other than some stuttering at times and my horizon being off. I'm pretty good about making sure my EVO batteries and the remote are recharged immediately, the issue I've running into is that my phone is not always topped off when I'm ready to fly. When I plug the phone in and turn on the remote it starts to charge the phone, but it seems like it stops once the app connects. I read another user complain about his phone charging and draining the controller battery. I'd actually like that charging function especially in cold weather. My phone battery just takes a nose dive once it gets cold, but if I'm out in the woods all day a constant charge from a portable battery pack keeps it happy.
Did they remove this function with a firmware update? I tried multiple cables, one brand new with the same result. Is it and android vs IOS thing?
