Mountain surfing would be the only legal case use for this I can think of here in the US. Nowhere would it be a sane idea to fly beyond 5K feet AGL. You're flying blind to whatever else is in the airspace that's not in your FPV camera view, and even if you could see something approaching (small plane, flock of geese?) in the wide angle view you probably won't see it until it's too close to avoid

I dont even think you could reach 5000 feet without having to right away come back down, you would deplete most of the battery getting to that height but hey its still nice to have if you ever need to go higher than the 800 meter limit I guess.

Brock I would imagine actual real moutain surfing is for FPV freestyle\long range quads. Surfing is all about the thrill, and you just cant compare that will camera drones, I realized this when I started flying freestyle.
 
since such actions are contrary to many laws and common sense, I decided to remove the link to the file.
