I just purchased the Apache 3800 case at Harbor Freight ($32 with 20% coupon). I did the pluck and pull foam to fit EVO, Remote, 3 additional batteries, and a spot for my strobe lights (could have fit more if I arranged differently). I also did a little cutout for an LED rechargeable light I use to see when flying at night - has a motion sensor turns light on when you open the case, and off when it's closed. The key to making the pluck and pull foam durable is to spray multiple coats (I did 3 - let dry between coats) of "Plasti Dip" after you have your cut outs completed ($5 at Walmart- only needed one can). While it's a little bigger than the soft case that came with my EVO, it keeps my EVO much more protected and its easier to put in and take out. Also it's durable, and looks professional at a fraction of the cost of most hard cases out there - including the one sold by Autel (if anyone cares about that).

Nice...I'll have to get down to HF!

Question: In the 2nd pic it looks like you have the lights from Firehouse...what holder/mount do you use to attach those to the Evo? Thanks in advance

Actually I use 3 Strobon Cree strobe lights. I dont use a holder/mount, but rather use 3M Scotch fasteners (each can hold 5lbs) and attach the red and green to each of the front arms, and the white one to the bottom rear arm joint. By using fasteners I can remove for daytime flights. Very light weight and low profile and easy to put on and take off.

Thanks for that info...they look a lot like the Firehouse lights

I just purchased that case from HF online...found a coupon that took it from $39.99 to $29.99. Total was $36.98 shipped. Coupon is good until June of 2020! Same case on Amazon for $58
