Hi everyone!

Super psyched to be a part of the forums. I thought the story about how I came across my Evo was such a one-in-a-million kind of "all the planets aligned" moment I thought it would be cool to share.

Up until yesterday my first "real" drone (some of you may disagree lol) was my Mavic Mini. I had purchased the fly-more kit used for $250 on offer-up (a great deal as he still have the box it all came in, the cage, extra blades...etc). In my learning experience I made many newbie mistakes and wrecked it a total of 5 times. At that point I had needed to re-tighten the screws in a few of the arms, and there were cracks starting to show on the bottom. But I had so much fun learning, shooting, editing - it was time for an upgrade!

So I posted an ad (was honest with the buyer - it doesn't have many wrecks left in it. If you are careful it will last a long time...etc) and a few other old tech I had sitting around.

After looking on FB I found a guy selling a DJI Pro Platinum for $500 with two batteries and a soft case. I thought this sounded like a great deal.

Fast Forward to later same day one of the items I was selling was a Nikon D3300 with a brand new tripod and the guy asked me what my bottom price was. Don't know what possessed me to tell him, but I said "I am $200 short to get this DJI Pro so that's the least I will take (originally was asking $250).

So then he tells me that HE is selling a drone, and its literally the only item he has for sale on the platform. The chances right? And there it was - what was to be my new Evo!

Evo, 4 batteries, the charging hub, the Autel softcase, and a large waterproof hardcase the exact same color as the drone. It's so b@d@ss I can barely stand it.

Not only did he give me a fantastic deal on it, but he had me follow him to the local lake where he showed me all of the do's and don'ts of using it, how all of the controls worked and informed me of some great youtube resources to check out for more great Evo info. I definitely tipped him for his time and let him keep the camera free and paid the full price we negotiated on. I already felt I was making out too well for that price already I couldn't rob him any more.

If this experience is any indicator of what the Autel community is like, then I am very glad I jumped into it.

Welcome to the Forum. I think you will enjoy your membership. There are many other members happy to provide assistance for any issues you may have, and those that may need information you bring. A lot of good information is already stored in existing threads.

Couple easy things:
1.) The search Icon is your friend. It's the magnifying glass near the upper right of the screen when you scroll all the way up. It can find many answers you will never find by yourself.
2.) Be aware that you won't always get a quick response. There are times when many other members are on line, and sometimes only a few. A response may not show up until the right person sees it.
3.) Be aware the forum is Global. If you are exchanging with a member on the other side of the world, response can get delayed and out of sequence due to a difference in local time.
4.) Although the Forum is global, the language is English. It is customary to translate other languages to English. Many members also include the original language post to help alleviate translation errors.
5.) Review the forum rules (on the bottom right). There are not too many, but it is important they are followed to keep the Forum a useful and happy place for everyone.
