Just some quick pics of an Apache 5800 Rolling carry-on case that I picked up at Harbor Freight this morning for $99. When traveling, I wanted something that I could take everything together in one package. Trying to fit it is a challenge, and I used the original foam packing that came from Autel for the drone. Storage below the SC contains the SC charger, USB cable and Lanyard. Foam around the SC is inserted after by moving the controller to one side, inserting the foam, move slightly to the other side and insert the foam. First photo shows the foam pieces not inserted. Really need to cut the foam on the top of the SC as it is a bit high, but firmly secures the unit once the lid it shut. Set of props are next to the aircraft. Havn't sprayed it with plastic coat yet, probably in the next couple of days. Anyways, just wanted to show what I did, as I couldn't find a case online to support a single Evo 2 and a smart controller. As to why I also included the regular controller, it's like that joke about a condom. "I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it"

The cube foam by itself won't stand up to repeated use, but if you face the top with 4mm EVA sheet that can be found at Michael's or any art supply place for under a buck a sheet (9x12", you'd perhaps just need a few) it will hold up a whole lot better. If you go with the modular theme like I did, you can face the bottom and sides of the cube sections to make freestanding case inserts that will fit inside a backpack, too.

Sounds good. How do you attach it to the foam, and I did go ahead and plasti- dipped it already.

@Seakins What product do you use for the Plastic Coating / dip?
Have a HF 4800 case that I use for my Pro II and would like to make it look more finished.
Thanks for the recommendations

Plasti Dip, and heres a pic of the case after spraying.

I also used orange plasti dip for the foam.
