Hi all,
last week, my Autel EVO 2 Pro crashed unexpectedly and fell to the ground from 40 meters high, completely destroyed, as can be seen from the video. The drone had the latest firmware version and before departure it did not give any warnings or errors. I think the cause was an engine block. Did the same thing happen to anyone?
Regards.

Welcome to the club...
I have one that fall from 30 m, battery issues...power cut... Only 14 cycles battery, drone in warranty.
I choose to order the parts from Ebay as Autel is moving like a slow snake when it comes to warranty and repairs....

Unfortunately I cannot find a multi-link cable from 6k camera to gimbal anywhere, I have asked Autel to sell it, but as usual, nobody from EU support answers to emails... Autel standards...

These kind of reports should automatically and promptly produce immediate restorative action from Autel. It’s unfathomable to me as a Autel convert from DJI (I have E2 P enterprise drone/FLIR, E2PV1, SC, dozens of batteries, OEM accessories , etc etc ). My DJI’s (Mini2, MP2, and accessories if ever a problem at least I received emails and calls back from customer support).
In addition when my DJIMP2 went for a swim it was replaced in barely over a week. Unbelievably good customer service with DJI. The only thing that keeps me from getting rid of all my auto equipment is the lack of Geo fencing because as a flight 107 pilot I know where it where not to fly etc. Plus I’m surrounded by lots of private helicopter and private airports and I couldn’t even fly my own 40 acre “yard“ on some days. Does the switch to Autel. However having dumped many thousands into each company, it’s getting really hard to continue to “swallow“ the BS from Autel. I know this is yet just another ***** session online, but I have not seen any Ontell representative on these boards in over a year and I’ve had emails, tickets for help, and phone call messages with a previous problem on my own and not a single response. Sorry I just had to type my own **** in.
Again whoever is running overtail overprozees and that’s even a semi mystery) seems like doing everything they can to cater to either the Laura and consumer who doesn’t care about this type of service? If I didn’t know better they are prepping themselves for a corporate buyout!?

No warning, wow! I'm sorry to hear about your loss. You suggested motor lockup. Do all motors rotate freely by hand now? I would definitely reach out to Autel. The flight log might have some useful data about the cause.

Peccato, fuori garanzia?

I did a firmware update yesterday and I think I turned off the controller too soon. The controller does not connect to the drone. I tried a manual update and the controller reads "Failed to upgrade" "Force to upgrade next time" I have tried to reload the firmware but the same message comes up on the controller. Can anyone help please?

Your controller is starting? Do you see it working? have connection with the phone?
The drone is starting? what colors is having on arms?
Did you tried to re-pair the drone and controller ?

If controller is coupling to drone, try to re-write the firmware, do not disconnect the drone, remote or phone until all lights are green stable. around 30 minutes.
