If you want to operate in Complex operations (urban) category #3. "The Proposed rules for drones in Canada" you better hope you have a drone that meets a design standard. Which none of our Yuneec or DJI or any other brand that is in our price range fits into. You best be having at least 10 grand in your pocket to fit into this category.

Also I have been working with a few people on the Mark your Device (name, address, and phone number for any nut case to see) part of the new rules. Filing a complaint with the privacy commissioner basically got me a suck it up buttercup we are siding with our counterparts in government. I will attach the PDF of their review.

- Distances from people will be categorized. 100 ft or 30 M and over will be considered away from people, between 100 ft and 16 ft or 5 m will be considered near people, and less than that will be considered over peopl

- A SFOC will likely be required in certain situations
