Just got my 3D printer today. Got it built and tuned up and printed my first part.

I don't take credit for the whole thing.
There was a design on Thingiverse by Jim Oliver that I used as the basis. That design had a ring oriented vertically that prevented the phone holder from folding.

I modified it so that the rings are horizontal and then I strung a twist tie through them to attach the lanyard to.20190923_173040.jpg20190923_175250.jpg

Nice, I was hoping that someone would come out with something like this! Any plans to distribute this? I'll be more than happy to field test this for you if you send me one! ;)

I'm starting from scratch. All I have of the original design is a mesh, no geometry. I've spent the last couple weeks learning Fusion 360 so I'm going to try to build it from the ground up.

I did mine today, on a concept a little more solid.
If the plastic ring is broken, whis the radio plus the weight of the tablet, it can hurt!

I was just looking for one. Please let me know when you'll be able to ship one to a fellow pilot.

Thanks
