I think Autel profited by starting from scratch as primarily a flying camera whereas DJI built flying machines.

I still think that my original 4k Evo1 produces the best images in its class but after Autel cut off support for it only two years after I bought it, I switched to DJI and got a Mini 3 Pro which has a spec to die for and will continue to benefit from DJI's much superior support. It's grounded as it needs a new gimbal ribbon cable - and currently for sale in the classifieds. I would still be selling it if it were flying as the Mini 3 Pro looks to have leapfrogged it in many respects.

My latest EVO 1 was purchased new in April 2021 and it is dead in the water a little over one year later. Disgraceful.

It's a disgrace. Because of this I have switched to a DJI Mini 3 Pro and I won't buy Autel again.
