How much do you pay your VOs?

    Laughable. Pretty much.

    Superstition Mountains Two (Arizona)

I recently watched some stupid reality tv show about some people trying to find a gold stash within the Superstition Mountains. Over a year ago I drove through without knowing the history of but found the area beautiful. Thanks for sharing your video.

    Oblique Mission Documentation

No worries. The offer is still there but I do highly recommend WebODM. There is a very good document out there about called Open Drone Map; The Missing Guide that is very well written and is a very worthwhile read.

How much do you pay your VOs?

Yes a drone is just an elevated camera but it's an elevated camera that requires; licencing, knowledge, dedication and awareness that a ground camera does not. I understand the aspect of it as an added value on already provided services but in doing so, without explaining and stressing the level...

    Oblique Mission Documentation

You need software to process the images from. If you have a Pro or Dual then you are entitled to a full year of Pix4dreact. Search for that on the forum and you'll get info on. You won't get 3d images from but will get a mosaic and basic data from. If you are like me, and like a challenge, then...

How much do you pay your VOs?

This is my understanding as well. VOs are just there to observe the sky to help keep the flight area safe. Hence my question. There are places where a VO really is not needed with a competent pilot but are needed three-fold (and the cost of the job dictates) due to the situation.

How much do you pay your VOs?

It is very easy to fly a drone but it's those know HOW to fly is the divide.

    EVO II Cracking Cause

I'm also going to reply to your last post as well this one. I have no doubt that there is some very similar hardware used between the Evo I and II in certain aspects. You brought up a great question. Why hasn't anyone dissected and shared the Evo I hardware in depth to a point of where it is...

    EVO II Cracking Cause

You are very welcome. There's no doubt that there are many different variations of hardware configs running around. From just screws to new board revisions. One of the big changes that we know for sure is out there is the RTK version. Outside of that, it's a crap shoot to know but with more...

    EVO II Cracking Cause

Sorry for the delay but here you go man. Looks like the only real noticeable change is the type of screws used. Which leads to the question again, why in the heck wouldn't they resolve that on any drone brought in for repairs for a cracked case? It just takes 2 screws for it to be resolved and...

How much do you pay your VOs?

Have her finish up the course and take the test. It won't hurt anything to have another fully licenced pilot. It's really insane on seeing jobs being taken by pilots in areas that either just can't be flown in or have major restrictions on. Yeah, it hurts the industry and gives everyone a bad rep.

How much do you pay your VOs?

Much appreciated with chiming in with your experience. I've been quoting $50/hr for each VO for any job that is high profile. I've never been someone, nor ever will, that will screw over anyone to make a buck. To me it makes sense that if a project needs to be done, and done well, then it will...

New EVO II Favorite Feature - Turn off ALL of the Lights

Good info and spot on from my understanding. It'll all be a moot point in a few weeks, supposedly, once the FAA provides direct instruction and knowledge on night ops per the recent rulings. Take their online course and have properly setup equipment then fly. Per the rule, the FAA will be...

    Another Firmware Question

I did initially notice a slight drifting issue after my initial purchase on a few short but chocked it up to where and how I was shooting. I purchased August-ish, but have not noticed drifting with the past two, very quickly, released updates. I'd personally recommend updating but I'd also...
