Anyone heard anything from Autel regarding EU Certification

Uff, that seems indeed to be an overcomplicated process to get something approved. One photo and a serial number should be enough to qualify or not.

    Charging the Smart Controller

Thanks for sharing this detail about the MacBook charger, it answers the question I had put up on: May 28, 2023

    Charging the Smart Controller

Please read all answers on this forum regarding this topic, before repeating the same old question. It boils down to: Only certain chargers with the correct usb cable will do the job. Make sure you label your cables to not mix them up when in a rush or in the middle of a job.

Anyone heard anything from Autel regarding EU Certification

Maybe they want you to add the serial number as written text, not as a screenshot? So they can manually copy/paste it. Even though AI could extract it from the pictures, they might not use this kind of AI at AR.

    Live Deck as relay station

I believe the Autel drones with V1 and V2 protocol are using multiple channels for video feed and controls from and to each device on the ground. I lost track of V3 specs, but do expect the communication concept is not completely different. 🎮↔️🛩️↔️🎮➡️📺

    Live Deck as relay station

I am not sure what you exactly mean with relay station. The Live Deck (in my case V1) is in a way a secondary controller without joysticks. The person can attach a tablet or phone to it and becomes co-pilot having plenty of controls over camera, set maximum altitude, change maximum speed, turn...

    Charging the Smart Controller

Yay. at this point we still don't know what voltage vs amperage the smart controller is tapping into for its charging. However the fact that not all usb cables can be used for charging, implies it must be one of the odd voltage values that are less standard.

Keeping EVO II Batteries on charging hub

A LiPo battery fully charged or at a charge below critical can turn into a fire hazard under unexpected circumstances. So having it stored at 60% is a safety measure, it can then naturally discharge to 40% or less and also shouldn’t get below 10%. Any high voltage, indicated as 90% or more over...

Trying to Pair New EVO II Remote Controller V2 with EVO II V1 Drone

Yep, Getting a V1 controller in the secondhand market is the way to go.

Keeping EVO II Batteries on charging hub

I recommend a search in this forum for topics about “battery shelf life”. Moreover our drones are using LiPo batteries, there is plenty of general useful information online outside this forum, explaining why LiPo batteries should be kept in storage below maximum charge and above an incidental...

what is the procedure for replacement with serial number change?

I guess you can contact your insurance company and explain the serial number of the aircraft on the insurance policy needs to be updated.

    Battery Shelf Life

As far as I have understood, the discharge process of the internal battery management, discharges the battery down to 60% (not 50%). This process starts after 6 or 10 days when the battery is not being used, the number of days is depending on the settings. If the battery sits on the shelf for 3...

    Battery Shelf Life

Just out of curiosity, when I top up a resting Autel drone battery, let's assume from about 45% to 75% only to be placed back on the shelf, does this count as a loading cycle for the internal battery management? Furthermore now almost a year later, I can confirm those resting batteries, after...

EVO 2 Pro orbit is always an ellipses.

Have never used those automatic features, will test this at a future occasion. Does it mean you have to tilt the camera angle up and down to compensate for the distance toward the center of the alleged ellipse?

Drone will not fly straight and will slowly rotate while hovering

do you have a secondary controller? if so, try that one to find out if the IMU in the aircraft or the controller is causing your problem.
