It's not a push button solution for games, and you have to commit to finding a way to integrate photogrammetry workflows into your pipeline to get the best use of it. Which means creating a process for: High-Quality Captures (if you don't get good data you're not going to get good results)...

I am also having this pairing issue after updating to 2.5. It was working fine immediately before the update :(. edit: I applied the firmware update manually a few more times and now everything is working again.

Bummer. "Recording" a mission manually would be a powerful feature. Anyone know how to request features for the Explorer app?

Also I'm not sure it is clear that I actually want the drone to refly the path as if it were a Mission.

Can I do that from the controller and app somehow, right after the initial flight?

Yeah Reality Capture rarely ever gives me multiple chunks (components). I even added about 10 shots from a DSLR to this waterfall for the lower right interior and it realigned most of them with only a few points necessary on a couple DSLR images that didn't have enough overlap with the drone...

I'd like to do a manual flight and then replay the path (horizontal and altitude changes) in order to use different gimbal and camera zoom settings (for photogrammetry). I need to do this without planning a mission ahead of time, because subject matter is unknown prior to being out in the field...

I haven't really tested the photos yet since the resolution is similar, but it may in fact be higher quality since there would presumably be less compression / blurriness. I'll have to try your technique for timelapse shots and see how it works out! I prefer Reality Capture over Agisoft, at...
