    EVO NANO gets RID

Hi DeadFan, I’m one too, Dead fan that is. I’m not sure I am parsing your sentences correctly. You say “It show up, even when saying it’s broadcasting. Autel is your best bet…“ Seems like there should be a NOT in there somewhere. I tried DroneScanner on my iPad and got no signal, even at a...

    EVO NANO gets RID

Reading through Title 14 part 89, I found this: 89.525 No person may produce a standard remote identification unmanned aircraft under § 89.515 unless it displays a label indicating that the unmanned aircraft meets the requirements of this part. The label must be in English and be legible...

    EVO NANO gets RID

Hi Ken, Would Dronescanner on an iPad detect RID transmissions? I tried it last night and got nothing from DS. DS’s help talks about Bluetooth and Wifi signals. Is that all there is? Wouldn’t that make the RID range very limited? I’m familiar with ADSB and was thinking that RID is ADSB lite...

    EVO NANO gets RID

OK, I’ll keep my Nano+. I just downloaded DroneScanner and ran it while the drone was flying about 20’ away. It didn’t see anything. I was assuming that the Nano and Nano+ were identical except for the camera. In several of the RID thread posts, there are mentions of firmware updates enabling...

    EVO NANO gets RID

Thanks for replying. I would love to believe you and not return the nano+. Why does the Autel app show that Remote ID is broadcasting? I really don’t want the FAA knocking on my door if I stray into the nearby Class C that is 100% restricted. I did check teh DoC list and my serial is completely...

    EVO NANO gets RID

I have another thread going about the Nano+ and RID. I just got one and the Safety settings clearly show Remote ID. Before I power on the Nano+, it shows “Broadcats failed” but that changes to “Broadcasting” as soon as the drone connects to the controller. My Nano+ is in a completely different...

New Nano+ shows remote ID “broadcasting”???

On my Nano+, the Safety/Remote ID setting shows “Broadcast failed” until I power up the drone. then it says “Broadcasting.” Autel touts the fact that they don’t have geofencing, but then they slip in Remote ID without any real notice. I live near a Class C airport that has completely banned...

New Nano+ shows remote ID “broadcasting”???

I actually have a Nano+. I found the thread “EVO NANO gets RID” which says that the FAA RID compliance notice applies to the Nano and not the Plus! I am strictly a hobbyist, so am hoping for the registration/RID exclusion for my Nano+. Everything the FAA has published has stressed that there...

New Nano+ shows remote ID “broadcasting”???

I just got a new EVO Nano+ and am checking out all the options. In the Autel Sky app, Settings—> Safety, there is a “Remote ID” item and it says “Broadcasting.” There is the option to specify the “Flight Purpose” but no way to turn broadcasting off. I have no idea if the drone or the controller...
