    Sudden Battery Power Loss

Yea, an untrustworthy battery makes you pucker up for sure if you know what I mean.

    Sudden Battery Power Loss

All great advice. I will take more caution and plan better for my battery use. Thank you.

    Sudden Battery Power Loss

I had fully charged the batteries 48 hours prior to flight. It was exactly as you described, 100% on the lights, and the app upon connecting controller to AC. When properly charged, is this something that can be rectified and safely flown with?

    Sudden Battery Power Loss

Today on a job I had something happen that has never happened before. First battery in, everything checks out, so I do my normal routing. Hover about 30 seconds at shoulder height, and wait to see if anything is wrong. No issues, so I head to 400ft AGL to get the initial shot which is a birds...

    Catering to ranching industry

This is 100% the kind of feedback I was looking for and is in line with what I had figured from reading the specs for both. Thank you.

    Catering to ranching industry

Was just looking for any discernable differences that would make 640T or 4N a better pick than the 4T. Main use would be herd health management, and would need to ability to optically zoom in and read ear tags.

    Catering to ranching industry

Fair. I hadn't thought of that. I'm really trying not to put all the eggs in the DJI basket, but that's a consideration. I love my EVO 2 so much I hadn't thought of that.

    Catering to ranching industry

Awesome. Thank you. As long as I can read the tag on a cow's ear, then it's perfect.

    Catering to ranching industry

Ideally the awesome optical zoom on the alpha and swappable payload would be ideal, but I can get a M3M and Max4t cheaper than the one Alpha. Night time ops probably aren't an issue, so the 4T seems to be the better option. That's what I was initially thinking. Optical zoom for getting tag...

    Catering to ranching industry

So my company is looking to buy a thermal drone for assisting ranchers and identifying lame animals, etc. I am pushing Autel over DJI for multiple reasons, with the only exception being the Mavic 3M since there is no Autel product that is comparable. (Can't afford a dragonfish) Here is the...

Best placement for holy stone RID module

It's funny to me that I saw this today, since 2 days ago I noticed a wobble in my drone while it was hovering, that was not commensurate with the wind level at the time. I removed the device and relaunched and had the same problem. It could be the velcro or the RID device causing this, but I've...

EVO II (Any/all version) and High Voltage transmission lines

I have not flown inspection missions before, but I have flown around power lines and "threaded the needle" a few times to get angles necessary for the job. I have not experienced any issues with connection or video transmission. Controls and visuals were all normal. 100ft above the power lines...

Best placement for holy stone RID module

I placed mine on the front top portion. Had to move my registration number over. 10 flights in and I have had no problems with stability.

    Certificate in Photogrammetry or similar.

Good day all and happy New Year's Eve. I recently graduated SDIs certificate program in UAS technology, which is what really got me interested in drones. I was just trying to use my G.I. Bill, and now I wish I had entered into this space years ago. That's the background. Now I am working locally...

    Hypothetical

The correct answer is call the airfield and make sure the class and tower times are accurate in Aloft. The Tower is closed on weekends, reverting to E. Chart supplement and Aloft don't accurately portray this, because it corresponds with an Airforce base. As long as you don't fly into the AFB...
