SOLVED - Latest Firmware Will Not Transmit To Aircraft

I updated all software to latest versions, I had to do the aircraft update by micro sd card, so far I have only done a short test flight and it all seems good. The weather has been crap on the east coast- cold and windy so once things settle down weather wise I'll get a longer flight in and give...

The Droning Company Expert Chris Fravel Reviews the Autel Evo II V3

I alternate between being P- O’ed that Autel regressed with the V3, which I bought, without knowing they had lost features vs the V2 and being ok with my V3. My experience with the V3 has been very good with the exception of some indoor flying experiences which I also experienced with My...

Evo II V3 needs a Scan Card. What is recommended

Max data write speed of the Drone is 120MB/S so any micro SD card that supports that write speed or greater . I would buy something with a higher max write speed say 130MB/S

    Flying indoors?

I am going to do a bit more test with the indoor shooting scenario. I agree 100% that prop guards are required indoors to prevent damage to drone, interior spaces and random people that may enter the space. I did another tinfoil hat test yesterday outdoors and the tinfoil hat does knock out GPS...

    Flying indoors?

I agree that N of 1 sample size with test flights is insufficient. if there was an ATTI mode switch like the DJI controllers had, that would be an explicit flying without gps flight mode. I have the smart controllers and as noted above, the android version of the control software is lacking the...

    Flying indoors?

I did do a short flight outdoors with the tinfoil hat and the left hand side status check list on the controller stated navigation was Starpoint which I took to be something other than GPS.

    Flying indoors?

Then is it better to go with the tinfoil hat indoors, to completely deny GPS when indoors? There is a youtube video of a guy in Pa, flying inside an office building the flight controls look pretty decent. He does say at one point that he is getting GPS to some degree even through he is inside...

    New V3 Firmware

I think this has been answered, you need to switch to log profile in photo mode and video should then follow in log profile mode.

Flying over water @ low altitude

Lens flare wouldn't be an issue because we would be shooting with the light not against it in just about every case.

Flying over water @ low altitude

Did a quickie test at varying altitudes from 3 M down to 1 M above water and the V3 flies well without any hiccups, forward, backward, sideways over flat water. Some years ago I had an Inspire 1 which did not like flying low over water but the Evo V3 handles this situation perfectly.

Flying over water @ low altitude

I have a shoot that may require me to fly at a low altitude over calm water tracking a subject rowing. I know this flight profile can be problematic as aircraft altitude can be unstable as water confuses sensors. I would approach this by turning off collision avoidance and perhaps radar warning>...

    Flying indoors?

The Rebar in structures is another one of those hidden pitfalls of drone operation. My Mavic 2 Pro was at times very difficult to compass calibrate. I fly frequently in an urban area with lots of tall buildings and like to fly off the tops of buildings, roof decks etc for the unobstructed view...
