I have not tried to calibrate the compass as everything seems to be working OK. I'm no expert on this stuff, but it seems if you're off on your home location that might be a GPS issue rather than the compass? How many satellites are you able to lock onto? Are you getting a warning either that...

I tried it again today and had no altitude loss... Held altitude just fine and video was steady. I'll keep trying and let you know what happens.

Danny Fyffe is in the comments claiming Autel released a video a month back showing the Evo doing the same thing. I tried this on the app and was able to control the gimbal up/down setting but not pan left or right...
