That actually happened to me last week (smart controller v1). I didn't think much of it and haven't flown since, so I have no pattern. Sorry, I have nothing else to add.

I second that request. I got my 7 a month or two ago. Discovered the controller draining quickly while on a week long trip in the middle of the desert. Pulled the TriplTek and haven't used it since.

Yup, just got my Evo II Pro from Coolmade and it is indeed a V1. I'll probably keep it and maybe sell the 8k that I currently have.

Probably right. If it's a V2, then it's a score, if not, I'll replace my 8k Evo II with the better camera one and sell my 8k. Worst case, I return it. There's no real downside to me.

I'm slightly suspicious as well, but I took the chance and ordered one. If it pairs with my current controller, then I know I've been had and I'll send it back. We'll see.

My first flight in below freezing. I thought I could catch some cool pics of the first snow with the rising sun, but it was way too overcast. Out of all the shots of the city of Reno, NV (USA), this one was the only one of interest. Looks like 6:00 am was still too early for someone :p
