If you are responding to me, I wasn't specifically responding to you. I was simply asking a couple of curiosity questions. I thought I read where the FAA guidelines "required" one to maintain a line of sight with their drone while flying. I was just checking to see if I am missing something...

About the second or third day after I bought my drone I was flying it nearly 1/2 mile away and experienced the same thing you did. I had a 15 second panic attack but fortunately it reconnected 30 seconds or so later and was already returning to home. What a relief! It also disconnected...

I'm looking at it right now on my iPhone and it can't be more than 50 feet off, but that's inside my house. I'll check it a few times over the next several days as I'll be moving around a bit. Mine gives a fairly detailed map so I know immediately if I'm in a good spot or if it's off.

I haven't tried Airspace but so far I have found B4UFly to be accurate. Is it possible/probable that Rixxie33's GPS on his mobile device is off? Just wondering....

Based on my experience, if you hear "electrical interference" you'd be wise to get the bird on the ground.

I picked up one for $98 at Best Buy based on a price match with Amazon. I think it was back in late Jan./early Feb.

I do. I first noticed it after an operator-error crash. Mine has to be corrected to about -2.6. The most aggravating thing is it has to be adjusted each time the battery is changed.

Flew for about a total of an hour yesterday with no apparent issues, taking off and landing numerous times. I even calibrated my XSP within the coverage area of the wireless fence. No issues.

If it was wired I wouldn't be as concerned....I'd just do my best to stay a ways from the wire. But...mine is wireless with a unit sitting in my house casting a "fence" in a radius from the unit. It creates a "dome" around part of the yard and my XSP would normally be taking off and landing...
