Let Your Light Shine Campaign - 4 Mile Night Hyperlapse Arc - EVO II Pro

Real nicely done! I meant to ask (way back a year ago now, just about), I assume some of those were shot as video and speed ramped…was the big ol arc shot that way or was that shot as photos timed 2 seconds apart and flown at 2 mph or???

    How to Use RTK

I’m in the same boat, only I don’t even have an RTK version yet…Nice to know that, with reliable network access, one can get pretty accurate maps this way. I’d imagine that relative accuracy within the map would be improved as well.

Autel Explorer and iPad Pro 11".

I have 15.5 on mine and might keep it that way as long as possible. Sorry can’t be of help.

    Ptgui

Sounds like a solid workflow! Thanks for sharing and I’ll play with that section to try and fill the zenith. I have the pro trial until I learn it enough.

    Ptgui

Nice! That makes sense to me. Do you start with your Nadir shots then? Two of them 180 degrees apart? Also, do you happen to recall which feature in ptgui allows the addition of sky to your zenith? I don’t see it in their tutorials.

That definitely looks like a tough one to reference, both sky and ground. Still looks like it turned out nicely though. I think I’m going to try my hand at a manual capture with some upward gimbal tilt.

I apologize for the reply to this old thread, but it addresses a couple questions I have: Do you shoot your (360) panos manually vs Autel’s panorama mode? I tried it for the first time and noticed it doesn’t take advantage of the 30 degree upward pitch limit (pretty sure I had this checked on...

Commercial Back up: To Nano or not to Nano - That is the Question

Exactly-It’s too bad there aren’t more viable competitors. Maybe I’ll wait to see what (if) Autel offers in the V3 line…

Commercial Back up: To Nano or not to Nano - That is the Question

All good points, much appreciated! I think I’ll hold off and consider something other than the nano. I’d like to have a back up rig in case of who knows what, but would also like to diversify at the same time. Any Autel users here also fly the Inspire 2?

Commercial Back up: To Nano or not to Nano - That is the Question

I’m posting here vs the commercial site as I think I want to stick with Autel, due to familiarity, but more importantly, due to geofencing matters. I know that can be worked around, but I hear too many stories of hiccups with that process. I currently use an Evo II Pro and run a small side...

    MN Commercial Operations - Fees!

Oh yay! I’m sure lots of potential clients are looking to the state when trying to find a drone pilot 🧐. That is good that they lowered it though. I’m up in Elk River, so I try to just focus my efforts between the NW and west metro, where I also work my FT job. I know that limits my numbers...

    MN Commercial Operations - Fees!

Are there any other commercial operators here in MN who have had the pleasure of forking over $$ to the money hungry state of Minnesota? I’ve gone through all the FAA requirements, figured out insurance, LLC registration with the state, banking etc, only to stumble across the state’s requirement...

Maps Made Easy - Photos Don’t Contain Altitude Values - Best Beginner Mapping Software?

Much appreciated! My head is spinning a little less now, and take my time, I sure will!

Maps Made Easy - Photos Don’t Contain Altitude Values - Best Beginner Mapping Software?

Hey, thanks for digging into it! So it sounds like, with good relative accuracy and elevation changes, I should be able to come up with volumetric estimates for piles of fill, etc, right? And, if I get to a point where I need absolute accuracy, including elevations, GCPs would also take care...
