I'm a year less young than you but I pre-ordered one. Same deal with the vision . You may have a shot at one if you call the venders directly I've seen post where some lucked out like that. Good luck to you !

Maybe you can trim a groove in the foam for the bracket .

If they could somehow just make the Smart Controller V2 backwards compatible with the V1 drone it would solve the problem. Then just sell V2. My EVO II Pro V1 works just fine now, if it were to crash or end up in the water and I had to replace it a V2 controller would work with an old or new...
