It works really well. You have to side load google services to get the maps to work, not google maps or play store. I do occasionally get a google services has stoped working, but it never has affected the performance. Just click OK and go on.

The Marco Polo Rc is the best one. It works up to two miles. I have had my Evo emergency land a few times and I have it back within a few minutes.

I have a 4 Hawks on mine and regularly go out 3.5 (18,500 ft) miles and have gone over 4 miles (22,000 ft) but that is taking a big chance about it not making it back because fo the battery.

I to know how to do the work-arounds like you are explaining, but they are just bandaids for problems that should be addressed by Autel. Many of which catch veteran piolets by surprise and cause loss of aircraft, which does cause people to stay with DJI, even at a higher price.
