v2 smart controller 5.8 freq

i just recently just bought the evo2 enterprise, had some interference on 5.8 , so i switched it to 2.4 which seemed to correct some of the issues, but what i want to do is the default on freq is always 5.8, but i want to default it to auto or 2.4, but cannot seem to do it, as soon as you shut aircraft off and controller, it defaults back to 5.8, so everytime i start up, i have to go to settings and change it again, anybody know a way around that ?
