Hi all!
I tried to fly the Evo2 using my phone and realized that a much larger screen was needed. It is especially inconvenient to watch video from a thermal camera on a small screen. That's why my friend and I printed these extensions - my 10" Android tablet is doing great!

And who else uses what kind of extensions for tablets on Evo 2 RC?

Problem being, when you're trying to fly precisely, that extra 1lb+ can work against you in a couple of ways. One is that pinching the sticks (instead of thumbs only) gets fiddly when the balance of the controller is tippy and you're holding it from rocking backwards with just your pinkies. Second is that if you want a truly better view, you need the tablet screen up more towards the horizon, so you're not constantly looking up-down, up-down and losing VLOS so easily (where simply holding the now heavier contraption up higher only worsens #1).
My solution was to make a tray for the controller that hooks to a padded belt so my arms and elbows rest at a naturally relaxed position. The tablet is elevated to chest height with an 11" articulating arm that clamps with Arca style QRs to the base and the tablet and adjusts to any angle with one knob . A lanyard is clipped to the clamp at the base of the tablet to stabilize it all. 100% unobstructed view of the Autel Standard controller screen and tablet, both. Less than $100 in parts and materials. Magnificent view, precise control, comfortable-- works great

I fly from my truck 90% of the time.. everything kinda rests on my steering wheel.. signal range barely effected.. and as a bonus you draw way less attention from nosey people as barely anyone even notices what you are doing.. air conditioning, heat, shade .. all also a huge bonus..
