Smart Controller Case

I know these are low production items, but finding absolutely no available cases was not going to be acceptable; thus:

I bought Nanuk 910, plucked the foam and came up with this. I later got aluminum Plates made for it, custom made by Eylar Cases, but put them on a Nanuk - heresy!

Nanuk from Amazon, Plates custom made at Eylar.com.Strap was a ZINZ for $16.99 also at Amazon. The Nanuk strap is $40-60. And mismatched.

Fits everything well, and got a nice strap for it so I can trow the Autel Soft case over one shoulder and the SC over the other:

The harness for the Smart Controller is folded and sits right under the unit at the gap made by the aluminum handle/stand. A top level case for a top bit of kit.

Nice set up!

I’ve experimented with three different types of cases, finally ended up with an Autel carrying case with changes to layout. A lot of form cut and superglue, sometimes feel should have gone with two carrying cases similar to Blair Airs two case setup. End result, 26 pounds for entire case for two drones, SmartController V1 with 2.4gh booster, TripTek 8” Pro, tripod, 4 Evo 2 batteries, 3 Mavic Pro 2 batteries and many extras.

Actually, for long missions use tripod for both Autel SmartController V1 for evo 2 and Triptek 8” for Mavic. Tripod fits inside bag and rest in lower case, 26 pounds to lug around.

Recently, Went back with the AlienTech booster for SmartController V1, had an issue with cables giving a weak connection and after replacing both booster cables solved the weak connection issues. Not that SmartController V1 needs a booster, it’s plenty enough but in areas with obstacles or high interference the booster greatly increases signal.

Guess two case setup or one case setup each have advantages, I like carrying everything in one case but at times carrying 26 pounds a fair distance does wear me down.

Good luck, let us know which route you go with carrying case setup.

It is nice to have everything in one case, one trip out of the house to the car rather than 5. 26 pounds!! If there were wheels and a telescoping handle on the Autel case that wouldn’t be too bad. My husband is already talking about making me a cart for everything! Amazing how fast it goes from a little Mavic bag w/one drone to an Autel drone in a hard case, another (M2P) in an old photography backpack, another flight bag with radio, landing pad, winter gloves, hat, vest & credentials. LOL.
