Yes there is a lot of logging in the area and people get pissed when they clear cut the tree but if they don't get and get a new regeneration you end up with a dead forest. One that is waiting to ignite and turn your dreams into nightmares. It happened to Fort Mcmurray last year and is happening to lots of places out in British Columbia this year.
