changing tx setting from CE to FCC

In the manual for the XSP, it states that the transmitter will automatically choose either FCC or CE mode depending on the GPS signal it picks up. FCC mode allows the full range of 1.2mi while the CE mode (European) limits the range to ~500m. I live in the UK so it's automatically going to go into CE mode. Is there any way to manually set this to FCC mode? I bought this specifically for the extra range that the US spec allows.

Hi Eric, the user has no way to change transmission mode from FCC to CE

This would be a showstopper for me until there is a fix/hack to get into FCC, just like my Mavic does.
