Battery programming

Hi i have just purchased two evo 2 pro batteries and i am being told i have to programme them but i don't know how, is there anyone on this site whom can point me in the right direction?

My understanding is if you just keep the firmware up to date and everything else takes care of itself.

Do it like DJI firmware updates. Reinstall the firmware along with the new set of batteries.
