    Best Buy bound

Yes, better to completely update. Remember the issues they had in the beginning with horizon tilt, etc. Updates are updates for good reasons. When you buy many things today, they really aren't finished until the last update. Look at our phones. They go thru several updates and for good reasons.

    Pixel 4 XL

Gosh, since Friday you still have no reply. I have a PIxel 3aXL. From what I've read the Pixels are not very bright for drone flying. I have not tried mine. I use the "Wunder Phone" so popular a year or so ago, an inexpensive Huawei phone sold for a low price but with bright screen. I got a...

    Sorry. I meant MG.

    Interested in a EVO 2

No. The photos from EVO2 are 48GB. The limit in GMail to send for a total in one message is about 25GB. So you'd have to find a different way to share a photo with a distant friend..... perhaps in the "cloud."

    Interested in a EVO 2

As with some cell phones now, some new drones are doing "overkill" with their specs. For those of us only wanting to take some high photos, occasional videos, just reliability and toughness is important. I can't even share a photo with that high of a resolution in an email. Gmail is limited...

    Skydio 2 VS Autel EVO | What’s $999 Get You ?

The EVO is still a very fine drone. The Skydio seems to be superior and excellent at tracking and obstacle avoidance. But there are reviews out now of flying the Skydio with a controller, which is very insuperior compared to the EVO controller, no telemetry shown. So it depends on how you...

How do you put your batteries in Storage mode?

I'm sorry, your question was about HOW to put the battery into storage mode. With the drone on, look in your app and see if there isn't an option to select how many days to wait till self-discipline starts. You can't just "switch it" to self-discharge mode.

    Evo SD Card Deal

My 32GB works well. I don't do a lot of video since it's hard to find anyone interested long enough to sit and watch a long video. But photos they like. 128GB would be fine for you.

How do you put your batteries in Storage mode?

If it's like the Mavics don't forget to take it's "mode" out of discharge before flying. On the Mavics you just turn it on, then turn it off, then on again and it's ready to use for flying.

Importance of the monitor built-in to the controller

Thank you all for giving your opinion about that monitor built-in. It appears the new EVO 2 will also have that feature, perhaps an even bigger screen. Very attractive.

Importance of the monitor built-in to the controller

I've often lost connection between the phone and controller or controller and drone with other drones. How much confidence and stability do you gain by having the monitor always available there in the Autel Evo controller?

    Autel Make The Switch

Don't be so hard on Autel. These kinds of trade-ins are common with many companies. Sure, you could do better doing a direct sale, if you want to go through all that trouble. But for those who can afford it, dont want to go through a sales process nor have the time to do it, this is a...

Flying EVO with the monitor in the controller

But how would you answer my questions about the controller monitor?

Flying EVO with the monitor in the controller

I'm a Mavic owner but have been admiring the EVO a while now simply because of the one feature I admire the most, the built-in monitor in the controller. I have a few questions for you owners. It appears to me that anytime the app in the phone used to fly the drone crashes you could probably...
