Proper placement of RID on Nano+

The Nano+ has built-in RID. I don't think you need an external module.

    New hampshire pilot

Welcome to the forum! Don't fly in the white mountain wilderness areas, over ski resorts, within 1/4 mile of a trailhead, nor state parks -- but plenty of great places where you CAN fly legally and capture some amazing views.

    Autel Nano Plus Anti-Fog Problems

Went for a hike yesterday to capture some Fall colors in the White Mountains. Colors were near peak but not full peak yet. Views were unfortunately very challenging and obscured by Canadian wildfire smoke. I've not previously used the anti-fog setting but thought this was a good opportunity for...

    Speed changing problems

Has it always behaved this way? Also -- does the speed mode show correctly on your phone app's display? I've assigned speed modes to one of the custom button controller options and this works well for me.

Dull screw in my evo nano+

I had a similar experience I struggled to get a philips screwdriver to properly bite into the screw head I shined a light into hole and saw a blob of plastic/glue on top of the screw head I used a pair of tweezers to carefully dislodge and extract the blob from the top of the head, and found the...

    Freedom

Agreed (great writing!). Seems like nearly every drone forum has stories of a drone taking off on it's own and not responding to controls. Seems very random. It's never happened to me despite flying a GoPro Karma, Parrot Anafi, Autel Evo, Autel Evo II, Skydio, and (now) Nano+ -- but I DO...

    Lightening the Nano (+)

I don't see anywhere you can shave much weight. Autel used a thin (but strong) shell -- there's just not much in there you could remove without compromising the structure AFAIK...

Well, I finally crashed the Nano+

UPDATE: 3 test flights and all is good now -- the $60 DIY repair is a success! A few lessons learned for those who may want to do the same: Shop for the lowest price on parts via ebay, aliexpress, and/or other sites. Use the online references I shared earlier for instructions about how to...

Well, I finally crashed the Nano+

UPDATE: Took awhile for the second arm to arrive from PRC, and then took awhile to find the time and courage to start soldering the wires. Finally got to it last night. After soldering the wires and reconnecting the antenna, gave it a test power-on, connected to the controller, and spun up the...

Well, I finally crashed the Nano+

Repairs are underway. One arm arrived. Still waiting on the other. Compared to some of the youtube disassembly instructions, my Nano+ has a dab of a rubbery substance (silicon) across all the solder joints, connectors, and in a few wire locations. The other videos I saw didn't show this --...

Well, I finally crashed the Nano+

Been flying the Nano+ for about 7 months. Purchased thru private sale. It was an Autel Care replacement to the previous owner who sold it to me. So I got a new drone at a good price but the drone wasn't eligible for a new Autel Care contract. Flew without incident. Tested in high winds to...

Why did I sell the nano plus drone?

Fair enough. It's not perfect and has a lot of quirks. But I'm overall satisfied with mine. It's small, light, has an excellent camera, no app-level flight restrictions, comes with the benefits of flying a sub 250g drone in the US. Not the best flying drone I've ever used and cannot tolerate...

    firmware and software update

A little late to the firmware update party... However, I finally accepted the prompt this afternoon and updated the firmware on my Nano+. Definitely took awhile but worked thru all the beeping, lights flashing, reboots, and status bar progressions. It resulted in a successful firmware update...

Do you keep the sticks attached in bag?

A few good options for 3d printing on thingiverse. The one shown in this thread works well and doesn't add significant bulk to the controller... 3D printed accessories.
